Panels / The visit

What a panel replacement visit looks like.

I look at the door-open photo first, then I come to the house. I tell you if the published range still holds, or if the location of the box changes it.

  1. You text. Town. A photo of the panel door open so the breakers and the amp number show. What you are adding, if anything. A time that works.
  2. I look at the photo. Spaces left. Amp rating. How tight the box is. Whether this is a same-spot swap or a longer conversation.
  3. I come to the house. I look at the panel where it sits, the path to the meter if that matters, and the rooms you are adding load to. I do the visit. The team and I do the work after that.
  4. You get a number that fits the range, or a reason it does not. 100-amp, 12–30 space: $1,500–$2,500. 200-amp, 20–40 space: $2,500–$3,500. Complexity and where the panel sits change the price. New breakers match the new panel brand.

90-day warranty on the work. Licensed electrician. Insured. DuPage, Cook, Kane, and Will.
